Nevada BLM collecting basics

Same federal casual-use idea you already know from Utah: personal use, hand tools, no sale, typical 25 lb/day + one piece / 250 lb/year on ordinary BLM — unless the district posted something tighter.

Nevada is not “Utah rules with different dirt.” Different field offices, different ACECs, different military withdrawals, and a lot of checkerboard.

Do the same checks

  1. Owner / agency layer — BLM vs Forest Service vs private vs tribal vs state.
  2. Overlays — monument, ACEC, wilderness, Nellis and other withdrawals.
  3. NPS and many state parks: still no.
  4. Vertebrate fossils and artifacts: still no.

What this page is not

Not a Garnet Hill pin list. Not a claim map. Status and cap. Local office when the blog and the layer fight.

Informational only. Confirm with the Nevada BLM field office for the unit. Federal caps are a starting point, not a permit printed on this website.
