Black Rock Desert obsidian
The Black Rock Desert west of Fillmore is a common obsidian walk. The surface is a mix of BLM, SITLA, and private, often with no fence at the change. Same gravel, different rule.
Run the owner layer on the acre you will park on. Which layer. If it is BLM, the cap and the artifact rule still apply. If it is SITLA, stop and read the permit. Fillmore Field Office if the map and the sign disagree.
